Golden Hour Senior Session at the Iris Farm | Sacramento Senior Photographer

This beautiful family session at the iris farm was such a special one for me because it was the second time I’ve had the chance to photograph them. One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to reconnect with families over the years and document all the new chapters life brings.

This season felt especially meaningful for them because everyone is stepping into something new and exciting, and I was so glad to help capture this moment in time before life shifts again.

We photographed this session during iris season at the farm, and even though the blooms were more minimal by this point in the season, the location was still absolutely stunning. Honestly, this farm is beautiful no matter what time of year you visit. Between the glowing evening light, tall grass, winding garden paths, and soft greenery everywhere, it always creates the dreamiest backdrop for family sessions.

The light that evening was especially gorgeous. Everything had that warm golden glow that makes spring sessions feel so soft and timeless. I loved the relaxed feel of this entire session and all the natural interactions between the siblings and family throughout the gardens and open grassy areas.

I also loved how perfectly their outfits worked with the soft spring colors throughout the farm. The whole session felt effortless and timeless in the best way.

The iris farm continues to be one of my favorite Sacramento area locations for spring family photography because every session there feels a little magical, even when the blooms are winding down for the season.
