A Sweet Sacramento Session with a Little Extra Love

Some sessions just hit differently, and this was definitely one of them. I’ve been photographing Kristen since she was pregnant, and somehow, in what feels like the blink of an eye, her little girl isn’t so little anymore. How does time move that fast?

For one of my last 2024 sessions, we lucked out with the absolute dreamiest golden light—seriously, this Sacramento spot never disappoints. From piggyback rides to sweet, quiet moments, the whole session was the perfect mix of playful and heartfelt, just like these two.

And the real MVP? Their orange kitty, who decided to make an appearance and completely steal the show. I swear, he’s the friendliest little guy and somehow always manages to find me and my clients by the end of the session. Not mad about it—pets always bring the best energy!

We wrapped things up by catching up, which is one of my favorite parts of working with longtime clients. Getting to document these moments year after year is something I’ll never take for granted.
