Some families stay with you long after the session ends, and Cat’s family is absolutely one of them.
This session was extra special because it was their last baby package session with me. While it marks the end of a chapter, I truly hope it is not the last time we work together. Watching families grow through multiple sessions is one of the biggest honors of this job, and this sweet crew has been such a joy to photograph.
Cat and her family have three little ones who are full of energy, personality, and the kind of curiosity that keeps you smiling the entire session. From exploring paths to snuggling in close, every moment felt honest and playful, which is always my goal with family photography.
We met for this session in downtown Sacramento near the Sacramento Zoo. This was my first time using this location, and while it was very busy, it was also incredibly beautiful. The greenery, walking paths, and pockets of light gave us so much variety. Even with plenty of people around, we were able to carve out moments that felt calm, connected, and true to their family.
One of the things I love most about baby package sessions is how they tell a story over time. From tiny newborn days to busy toddler years and beyond, these sessions become a visual timeline of your family’s life. This final session felt like a celebration of everything they have already documented together.
If you are considering a baby package or family session in Sacramento, especially in an urban outdoor setting like downtown, this is your reminder that imperfect, busy, real life locations can still create incredibly meaningful images. These are the photos your kids will one day recognize themselves in.
I am so grateful for families like this one who trust me year after year to document their memories. It never gets old.
