Fall Family Photography at the Iris Farm in Loomis | Sacramento Family Photographer

There is something extra special about photographing a family for the very first time, especially when it is a mom’s first ever photo session with her child.

This fall family session at the Iris Farm in Loomis was exactly that. From the moment we connected, it was clear how much care and thought went into planning this session. We talked on the phone ahead of time about outfit ideas, which is something so many moms feel nervous about. That conversation alone can take a lot of pressure off and help the session feel more relaxed before it even begins.

This was her first professional photo session with her daughter, and moments like that are always incredibly meaningful. It is about documenting the season you are in and the love you share right now.

We took full advantage of the gorgeous trees at the Iris Farm, and fall truly showed off. The golden leaves, warm tones, and soft light created such a dreamy backdrop. The colors are bold and bright, I absolutely love it. Fall in Northern California can be fleeting, and when it shows up like this, it deserves to be celebrated.

We also made time for full family photos, playful moments, and quiet connection. Everything felt natural and easy, which is always my goal, especially for families who are new to professional photography.

If you have been putting off booking a family session because you feel unsure about what to wear, how your child will do, or what to expect, this is your sign. I walk you through every step so you can show up, breathe, and just be present with your family.

The Iris Farm in Loomis is one of my favorite fall locations for family sessions, and sessions like this are exactly why.
