Fall High School Senior Photography in Apple Hill | Sacramento Photographer

Fall sessions in Apple Hill are always a little unpredictable, and this senior session was no exception. On the drive up, we were met with light rain and questionable sprinkles. Nothing heavy, but just enough to make you wonder if the weather was going to cooperate. I am so glad we decided to push through, because the result was absolutely worth it.

We caught the fall colors just before they started to disappear. The trees were still holding onto those warm tones, and the sun even peeked out for a bit, giving us the most beautiful soft light. Apple Hill truly showed off, and it created such a dreamy backdrop for this senior session.

We visited a couple of different ranches during the session, which allowed for so much variety. We ended the evening at the 24 Carrot Ranch, finishing on their beautiful dock surrounded by willow trees. It felt peaceful, magical, and like the perfect ending to the session. The water, the trees, and the movement of her dress made those final images feel especially special.

Beyond the beautiful locations, this session was just genuinely fun. I connected with both Bailey and her mom over our shared love of reading and similar genres we all enjoy. Those little connections always make sessions feel more relaxed and personal, and it showed throughout the entire experience.

Senior sessions are about more than just photos. They are about capturing confidence, personality, and this unique season right before everything changes. This session did exactly that, and I loved every minute of it.

Apple Hill continues to be one of my favorite locations for senior photography, especially in the fall, and sessions like this are a big reason why.
