This family session in Roseville was such a good reminder of why I love photographing families just as they are. This sweet little guy is two, and if you’ve ever had a two year old, you know they’re busy, curious, and usually have plans of their own.

Two year olds can be a tough age to capture, but only if we try to force something that doesn’t feel natural. I always love when parents understand this stage and are willing to go with the flow. The last thing we want is an upset toddler. When we let kids play, move, explore, and do what feels best for them, the magic happens.

This session was full of movement, laughs, and real moments. No pressure, no expectations, just a family having fun together. Those are always the photos that matter most.
