This senior session was pure magic from beginning to end.
Between the golden evening light, the willow trees, the dock overlooking the water, the wildflowers, and her incredible personality, this session felt like something straight out of a movie. And can we talk about her hair for a second? I was absolutely obsessed with the fun pink color. It brought so much personality and uniqueness to her senior photos and fit the dreamy summer setting perfectly.
She is headed off to Santa Cruz for college, which is such an exciting new chapter, and I loved getting to celebrate this season for her. Senior sessions are about so much more than yearbook photos. They are about capturing who your child is right now before everything changes and life moves into a brand new season.
The lavender farm is one of my favorite locations for senior sessions because there is so much variety all in one place. We used the willow trees, open grassy areas, wildflowers, and the dock by the water to create a gallery that felt soft, natural, and full of movement. The warm sunset glow that evening was absolutely unreal.
One thing I always tell parents is that the best time to book senior photos is actually the summer before senior year officially begins. Senior year gets busy incredibly fast between sports, activities, college applications, dances, graduation events, and packed schedules. Every year, I have families scrambling last minute trying to fit sessions in before deadlines.

This session was such a perfect reminder that senior portraits should feel personal and reflect who your senior truly is. Fun hair, favorite outfits, meaningful locations, personality, movement, laughter, all of it matters.
