Returning Clients, Changing Seasons | Tanya’s Fall Family Photos at The Iris Farm

There is something extra special about photographing families year after year. Watching kids grow, seeing how connections deepen, and being trusted again to document another season of life is never something I take lightly.

Tanya’s family session at The Iris Farm was one of my limited returning client fall special sessions. These are not mini sessions. I do not offer minis. Instead, each fall I open a small number of full sessions as a thank you to families who continue to choose me to photograph their story again and again. It is my way of giving back while still keeping the experience relaxed, unhurried, and meaningful.

The Iris Farm is always a favorite for fall family photos. The winding paths, stone walls, and soft autumn tones create such a timeless backdrop. Tanya chose a beautiful red and black color palette that photographed perfectly against the changing leaves. Her kids were full of personality, sweet snuggles, and just the right amount of playful energy. Some of my favorite moments from this session were the in between ones. Squeezes, laughter, and the way they naturally settled into each other without being over posed.

This session felt calm, connected, and genuine. That is always my goal. I want families to feel comfortable enough to just be themselves while I guide things gently and step back when the moments unfold on their own.
