Graduation sessions always feel extra special because they represent so much hard work, growth, and excitement for what’s ahead. This Sacramento State graduation session was such a fun one to photograph, and honestly, the campus completely showed off that evening.

Sacramento State has such a beautiful campus this time of year. The walkways were lush and green, the roses were blooming, and we had the prettiest breeze throughout the session that added so much movement and softness to the images.

I also could not get over her adorable white dress. Between the breeze catching the fabric and her curls moving in the wind, the entire session gave me the sweetest Marilyn Monroe vibes in the best way. It felt timeless, fun, and effortlessly pretty.

We made sure to capture a mix of classic graduation portraits with her cap and gown along with more natural images that felt true to her personality. I always love combining both because graduation sessions are about more than just documenting the degree. They’re about celebrating the person behind all the hard work that got them there.

One of my favorite things about Sacramento State sessions is how much variety the campus offers without needing to travel far. From tree-lined walkways to blooming gardens and beautiful architecture, there are so many gorgeous little spots tucked throughout campus.

Congratulations again to this beautiful graduate. You can truly see the excitement and pride all throughout her session, and I know she has such an exciting future ahead.
