A Magical Summer Maternity Session in Sacramento with Stephanie
There’s something undeniably special about summer light. The way it spills through the trees, casting warm, golden hues across the landscape, just makes my photographer heart sing.
Stephanie reached out last minute, asking if I could possibly squeeze her in for a maternity session. With only a few weeks left before her due date, she was eager to capture these final moments before her sweet baby arrived. I knew I couldn’t pass up the chance, so we made it happen that very evening. And boy, am I glad we did!
At 36 weeks, Stephanie was absolutely glowing. Maternity sessions at this stage are totally doable, but I’ll be honest—it can tire a mama out a little quicker than usual. This is why I typically recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-32 weeks. That’s when you’ll feel your best and still have that gorgeous baby bump! But hey, if you’ve passed that window, don’t worry—you can still have your session. We’ll just take things slower and take breaks as needed.
Capturing moments like these, with a glowing mama and magical summer light, reminds me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about cherishing these fleeting moments before life changes in the most beautiful way.
