Golden Light & Lavender Blooms | Lincoln Maternity Session with Puppy Love

This Lincoln maternity session was full of golden light, soft blooms, and one adorable pup. I met up with Deanna and her husband at the lavender farm to document this beautiful chapter in their lives—and I’m still swooning over the whole evening.

They brought along their sweet fur baby for a few portraits, which I always welcome (as long as the location allows it and they’re on a leash). I know how special that first "baby" is, and it’s such a fun way to make the session feel personal. Their pup did such a great job and looked pretty proud of the promotion to big sibling!

Deanna started the session off in her own adorable blue floral dress and then changed into two of my client closet gowns. She looked stunning in all of them, but I have to say—the pearl gown will forever be a favorite of mine. It’s elegant and timeless!

We explored all the prettiest corners of the lavender farm—from the white fences and tall trees to the water’s edge and the flower field. Deanna and her husband were so sweet together, and the whole session just felt easy and beautiful.

These are the kinds of sessions I love most: relaxed, meaningful, and full of emotion.
