This senior session at the iris farm was such a fun one creatively from start to finish.

The evening light was absolutely beautiful, and we spent the entire session playing with different types of lighting and movement throughout the gardens. We used soft backlighting, directional light, shadows filtering through the trees, and glowing golden hour sun to create a gallery that felt artistic, dreamy, and full of variety.

And honestly, she made my job so easy. She is absolutely gorgeous and such a sweet girl. Every outfit worked perfectly with the warm tones of the gardens, and she moved through each part of the session so naturally.

One of my favorite things about the iris farm is how many different looks you can create in one location. Between the blooming flowers, winding garden paths, open grassy areas, vintage touches, and glowing evening light, every little section feels unique. It gives senior galleries so much variety while still feeling cohesive and timeless.

I especially loved incorporating her cap and gown into the session. Graduation portraits are such an important way to celebrate everything seniors have worked so hard for, and I always encourage bringing meaningful details that help tell the story of this season.

Senior sessions are about more than just pretty photos. They’re about capturing personality, confidence, excitement, and this huge transition before life changes completely. I always want seniors to feel relaxed enough to let their personalities naturally come through during the session, and she absolutely did that.
