Dogs & Maternity Sessions
"Can I bring my dog to our maternity session?"
Yes! I have no problem with animals joining your session. We just need to choose a location that allows dogs and follow their policy. This isn't a problem as so many local parks allow dogs. Many do require that they stay on a leash.
Joanna wanted to include her cute little Jax in her maternity session and I'm so happy she did! Jax may look like a he's just a puppy but this sweet boy was rescued 5 years ago! He knew so many words and behaved so well during his session. He even did a little modeling all on his own. See below!
We chose to have her session at Gibson Ranch. This is one of my favorite locations when families want to include their furry family members. There is so many little spots to use.
Choosing Your Dress
Joanna chose three dress from my client closet to use for her maternity session. I recommend two dresses but sometimes we can squeeze in a 3rd! Really it depends on the location and how much walking is required. This location has bathrooms to change which is really nice especially for maternity sessions.
Many of my maternity dresses fit a wide range of sizes. The pretty sage dress is a medium gown from Sew Trendy. I would say it fits sizes 4-10. The white dress is from Chicaboo and fits sizes 4-14. The final dress she choose is more on the boho side as far as maternity dresses go and is from a Etsy shop. The Etsy shop that made this maternity gown actually custom makes all of their maternity gowns and this particular one fits S-XL. You can see more of my dress HERE.
You're not obligated to use one of my gowns. You can absolutely use your own or a combination of yours maternity gowns and mine. I've also had moms rent their gowns from online maternity gown rentals such as Mama Bump Rentals. They have such a wide variety of gown to choose from that you're almost guaranteed to find something you love!
Making Your Maternity Session Unique To You
We can make your session unique to you and your wants. Maybe you have a horse you'd like to include, or a special cultural tradition, or something completely different. Let me know when you inquire! I would love to hear about your ideas.
Your maternity session should be fun and exciting and about you and baby. I will help plan the location, the outfits, and even help with suggestions on where you can get your hair and makeup done. Don't forget the reservations for dinner wither! You might as well go out and enjoy a nice meal while you're all dolled up.
