How to Get Through Your Summer Pregnancy Photoshoot | Sacramento Maternity Photographer

If you're familiar with Sacramento summers then you know how hot they can be! This mom-to-be was such a trooper during her photoshoot. We definitely took small breaks to keep cool and stayed in somewhat cooler areas. It's always a good idea to bring a water bottle or two to your session especially in this summer heat.

A nice flowing dress with short sleeves is also a good idea. I absolutely love this beautiful wine colored dress this mama wore. I'm considering adding it to my closet. Let me know below if you think I should! I love how it showed off her baby bump and looked stunning all while allowing her to stay a tad bit cooler.

All my outdoor sessions take place just after sunrise or just before sunset and during these times the temperature is usually lower. While it may not always be much cooler it still helps to have your pregnancy photoshoot in the evening. Temperature isn't the only reason I hold my sessions in the early morning or late evening... light is the biggest reason!

When I do photoshoots at this location I love to wrap them up near the water. Which is just another perk in this heat. I often bring bird feed and have families stand on the dock. It's pure magic and in my opinion the best way to wrap up any photoshoot.

I'm currently booking pregnancy photoshoots for January and February 2023!
