Magical Maternity Session At The Ranch - Sacramento Maternity Photographer

I think we can all agree the weather has been quite different than what we're used to here in Sacramento. We're not used to this amount of rain and while I know we need it I'm seriously missing sunshine. I know many of you are too.

The weather during fall through spring can always unpredictable though and this is nothing new.! I watch the weather forecast closely but lets be honest they're rarely very accurate. This is why I wait to see the hourly forecast before deciding to reschedule. Even if it rains in the morning it does't mean your session is ruined! Often times the skies are amazing the evening of a rainy and gloomy day.

A questions I'm asked often is if I charge to reschedule due to weather and the answer is NO. In fact I try to keep a handful of days open just for reschedules during these seasons. This way we can hopefully get you back on the schedule quickly.I can't always promise a quick reschedule though as sometimes outside factors such as the make up artist availability, the locations slots available, and even my clients schedule.

This is one reason why I recommend expectant moms schedule between 28-34 weeks. This gives us a little wiggle room in case we have to schedule due to weather or other factors outside of our control. Keep in mind that studio sessions are always an option as well. So if the rain just doesn't want to stop we can always switch your session to a studio session or even an in-home maternity session.
